Summary

If an Advanced Roadmaps plan is set to read only and original owner of the plan is no longer available to provide modify privileges, how can the plan be updated so that the new owner of the plan can make edits?

Environment

All versions of Jira with Advanced Roadmaps

Solution

Advanced Roadmap Administrators can update plans they do not own.  Advanced Roadmaps Administrators can be set or verified within Settings > Manage Apps > Advanced Roadmaps Permissions by a Jira System Administrator.

To change the permissions of a plan, simply log in as a user that has the Advanced Roadmaps Administrator role and perform the following:

  • Plans > View Plans > ( select Plan ) > ( select Gear icon next to plan name ) > Configure > Permissions
  •  Add the groups or users you would like to have the edit permissions
