The Sprint Burndown Gadget displays a series of line graphs showing the burndown for a given sprint.

You can configure this gadget so that it always automatically displays the current sprint – you don't have to reconfigure it every time you start a new sprint.

It would be very helpful for us if this gadget could be modified so that we can choose whether to use hours, issues, or story points for a given instance of the gadget.

    1. The units depend on what type of Estimation Statistic you have configured.

I will add this information to the page – thank you for mentioning it.

Excelent! Just one question, how can I hide the non working days on plugin?

This gadget would be very appropriate to our needs if we could see also the burndown per user -> how much work (in time) does he/she have to do during the sprint. Do you know if there is any gadget like this or this one can be modified? This gadget is actually the same as burnown report accessible from the board, maybe I can configure something there straight away?

Our burndown chart is showing timespent (green trendline up opposite the remaining values) and I want to get rid of that line.  It is not showing the guideline (the gray line that slow down evenly to the right) and I want to add it for comparison against timespent.  I don't see where I can modify that, does that mean something has not occurred properly in the data entry when we started the sprint?

what permissions/user group do you need to be able to view the 'add gadget' link?

    1. If you don't see the 'Add Gadget' link, you may be looking at a dashboard that was created by someone else. To create your own dashboard (which you will be able to add gadgets to), please see the JIRA documentation on Customizing the Dashboard.

It would be very useful if we could configure colours on this burndown chart.  I know it sounds trivial, but our CTO is colourblind and cannot distinguish between the line graphs.

    1. Benjamin Humphrey

      Hi Steve,

We are working on improving the colours in our Reports over the coming months, so stay tuned!

Why is it not possible to choose previously completed Sprints using this gadget?  The historical information is available in Greenhopper reports but I'd like to have snapshops of the burndown of a Sprint embedded in a Confluence page so the team can see quickly how they performed in a previous Sprint.  As a radiator it works fine for the currently running Sprint.

    1. Tom Kotecki

      Hi Omerta,

Gadgets are meant to be used as information radiators - if you need to review completed sprints, you can always go to the "Report" section and see any sprint you'd like.

Any idea why my "guideline" grey line runs from zero to zero? I have 11 story points in my sprint, I would expect the line to show a linear burndown from 11 to zero over the course of the sprint.

The Sprint Burndown gadget on my dashboard takes approx. 1.5 times the vertical space it needs - there's a quite big chunk of empty space below the chart. See screenshot... how can I fix that?
