Unable to Add JIRA Add-on - Cannot Make atlassian-addons-admin an Administrator Group

Problem
Unable to add new Add-ons to JIRA Cloud; receiving an error indicating:
An error occurred while installing the add-on. Refer to the logs for more information.Diagnosis
JIRA Logs show:
Caused by: com.atlassian.plugin.connect.plugin.usermanagement.ConnectAddOnUserInitException: Group 'atlassian-addons-admin' already exists and is NOT an administrators group.
Cannot make it an administrators group because that would elevate the privileges of existing users in this group.
Consequently, add-on users that need to be admins cannot be made admins by adding them to this group and making it an administrators group. Aborting user setup.Cause
The atlassian-addons-admin group exists within the environment but was removed from the JIRA Administrators Global Permission.
Resolution
Add the atlassian-addons-admin group back to the JIRA Administrators Global Permissions
- Choose
> System > Global Permissions- Alternatively: g+g > Global Permissions
- Under Add Permissions:
- Select Permission: JIRA Administrators
- Select Group: atlassian-addons-admin
- Click Add
