The color schemes described on this page are different to the user-choice themes, which include a dark theme, and are applied to the user’s view of Confluence. Users can switch between these user-choice themes.
We support the custom color schemes described on this page for light theme and original theme only. If you’re using dark theme, you won’t see your custom colors displayed. We plan on adding support for dark theme.
The information below relates only to a color scheme that’s installed to your whole site.
Confluence administrators can configure a new color scheme for the site. The default color scheme for the site will also become the default for all spaces within it.
To change the site's color scheme:
- Select Administration , then select General Configuration.
- Select Color Scheme in the left-hand panel.
- Select the Edit button.
- Enter standard HTML/CSS2 color codes, or use the color-picker to choose a new color from the palette provided.
- Select the Save button.
Any changes you make will immediately be reflected across the Confluence site.
Reset your color scheme after uploading a site logo
When you upload a site logo, Confluence automatically detects the colors in your logo and customizes the color scheme for you.
You can change the color scheme as above, or reset your color scheme back to the default (and still keep your new site logo).
To reset the color scheme:
- Select Administration , then select General Configuration.
- Select Color Scheme in the left-hand panel.
- Select the Edit button.
- Select the Reset button.
