Advance warning of plans to merge Documentation theme with the default theme

The Documentation theme was removed from Confluence Cloud in April 2016. See End of support announcements for Confluence for more information on when the theme will be removed from Confluence Server.

This is an advance notice that we plan to merge the functionality of the Confluence Documentation theme with the Confluence default theme. We do not yet have a specific date for this plan, and we are interested in your feedback.

The new default theme, to be introduced in Confluence 5.0, includes a sidebar with contextual navigation. (For a preview, see the Confluence 5.0-m9 release notes.) Our plan (for the future, not in Confluence 5.0) is to include all the features of the Documentation theme into the default theme, and then remove the Documentation theme from Confluence.

Update: We plan to discontinue the documentation theme in Confluence 6.0. You can read more about the change in the End of Support Announcement. We aim to make the transition as easy as possible, and welcome your feedback via the survey below.

We would love your feedback!

We're conducting research to to help us improve the migration from the Documentation Theme to the Confluence standard default theme. We would appreciate any feedback you can provide in the survey below:
