Problem

The site XML Import from older version of Confluence slows down and fails during Confluence installation wizard.

The following appears in the atlassian-confluence.log:

2014-06-12 14:05:30,338 WARN [Navlink Plugin Executor:thread-1] [atlassian.applinks.core.DefaultApplicationLinkService] retrieveApplicationLink Couldn't find type id for application link with id a28c96bd-eb13-3937-afd0-88ffd2a0669d. Link is corrupted

Cause

The XML Site Backup is corrupted specifically on the application link part.

Workaround

Perform upgrade via either of these supported upgrade methods:
