Hide message previews on notifications
If you’re an administrator of HipChat Server in fields such as defense (think ITAR), healthcare, or finance, you probably don’t want unauthorized people “shoulder surfing” and seeing HipChat messages in notifications. HipChat Server gives you a setting to suppress those message previews.
Disable message previews
To disable message previews in the notifications, go to Group admin > Preferences. To hide messages, go to Scrubbed Notification Messages and select On.
