Canceled or Deleted State Sync - Jira Align Jira Connector

Jira Align - Choosing Deleted or Canceled
In Jira Align, we have a distinction between deleted and canceled items. And you can find both in the Recycle Bin and Canceled Items.
When you delete a work item in Jira Align, it will not appear in list views, as it is a soft delete it goes to the Recycle Bin.
When you cancel a work item in Jira Align, it will not appear in list views, and will be found in the Canceled Items.
To delete or cancel a Story, you click on "More Options" inside the Story Details panel.
Jira Align with the Jira Connector - Choosing Deleted or Canceled
When we add the Jira Connector into the mix, the behavior depends on how the Connector is set up. Jira issue Status numeric ID value is used by the connector to sync the Deleted or Canceled states.

The opposite is NOT true though.
Do not use this if you want to use the recycle bin (two-stage delete) process in Jira Align. Regulated industry customers may have processes to support requirements around who may delete items from production/ production support/development systems. |
