Summary

When you create a new board in Jira Cloud, you see one of the following errors:

• "You do not have permission to share. All shares are invalid."
• "The user 'username' does not have permissions to share. The owner has not been changed."

Grant "Share dashboards and filters" global permission

The reason why this error is presented is due to insufficient Global Permissions for the affected user account.

A Jira Administrator can grant this global permission:

1. Select  Settings > System
2. Navigate to Global permissions
3. Grant the affected user the Share dashboards and filters permission
   1. Alternatively, add the affected user to one of the groups that is already granted Share dashboards and filters
