Summary
The release button is greyed out for Project/board admins even though they have all the permissions within the project.
Environment
Jira cloud
Cause
The board filter includes issues from other projects where the user is not a project administrator.
Solution
Review the board filter to verify whether it includes issues from different projects. If it does, ensure that you designate the user as an administrator for those projects, or modify the Jira Query Language (JQL) of the board to exclusively include issues from the same project.
