Summary

When users try to add a specific template to the Description field in Jira Product Discovery, they receive an error message:

Something went wrong. We had some difficulties to update an issue on the server. Please try again or refresh the page.

Invalid URL in Template

The root cause of the problem is an invalid URL link in the template. If the URL points to a non-existent Confluence page, for example, it will prevent the template from being saved successfully.

Correct the Faulty URL

  • Identify the template causing the issue.
  • Review any links added to the template.
  • Replace the invalid URL with a valid URL that points to an existing page.
  • Save the changes to the template.
  • Test the template by attempting to add it to the Description field again.
