Summary

A user is unable to set the due date field in the Simple Roadmaps page of the Jira Software project:

Diagnosis

The due date field cannot be edited in:

• Jira Issue view (even though the due date field is added to the edit screen)
• Simple roadmaps page

Cause

As per the current design in Jira, if a user does not have "Schedule issues" permission, then the user will not be able to set the "Due date" field in the Jira issue view and also in the Simple roadmaps page:

Solution

Ensure that the user has "Schedule issues" permission in order to edit the "Due date" field in the issue view and also set the date in the Simple Roadmaps page.
