Card colors not available for issue types in a project for scrum Board

Environment

Diagnosis

How can you replicate this issue?

• Create a scrum board for a new company managed project.
• Go to Board settings > Card colors > Select Colors based on issue types.
• You will see that the Issuetypes are not loaded.

When you do not have issues displayed or created on the project, then it does not display the issue types for card colors under board settings.

Solution

Create an issue with Issuetype - story in your project  and if you now look at the card colors for issue types under board settings, the story type is available for editing under card colors. Create other issue types respectively to have it displayed under card colours. As of now this is an expected behavior in Jira.  For more details regarding this, you can view the suggestion request here.
