Move a project to trash

  • You must have the Administer Jira global permission or you must have the permission to administer projects to move projects to trash.
  • If you're migrating from server to cloud, and need to delete a project, make sure that you permanently delete the project from the trash before re-migrating it from your server.

To move a project to trash: 

  1. Error rendering macro 'excerpt-include'

    No link could be created for '2022-01-28_04-19-25___Navigating to the Admin Projects Menu (JIRA Admin)'.

  2. Find your company-managed project and select ••• > Move to trash. A confirmation dialog appears.
  3. Click Move.

Alternatively, you can: 

  1. Choose  > Projects.
  2. Select Manage Projects from the sidebar.
  3. Find your company-managed project and select ••• > Move to trash. A confirmation dialog appears.
  4. Click Move.
