Capture for JIRA does not load when in private browsing modes

Symptoms

The Capture for JIRA does not load correctly when using private browsing modes.

Internet Explorer - InPrivate Browsing
Chrome -  Incognito Mode
Firefox - Private Browsing

Cause

By default, these modes do not load extension or plugin data.

Resolution

  • Some browsers do not support the allowance of plugins/extensions in private browsing modes. In those cases you will need to exit private browsing mode in order to use Capture for JIRA.
  • Change your browser settings to allow plugins and extensions to load in private browsing modes.

Internet Explorer

InPrivate doesn't clear any history or information about toolbars or browser extensions that is stored on your computer. To help protect your privacy, Internet Explorer disables all toolbars and extensions by default in an InPrivate Browsing window. If you would prefer, you can do the following:

  1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Manage Add-ons.
  2. Click Toolbars and extensions, click the toolbar or extension you want to use, and then click Enable.

  3. Click Close.

Google Chrome

  1. Open the Extensions settings in your browser.
  2. Check the "Allow in incognito" check box for Capture for JIRA
