About the Confluence User's Guide

This guide covers features and functions that are available to Confluence users and space administrators.

For information on administering your Confluence site, including customising your site, refer to the Confluence Administrator's Guide

This guide assumes that you are using the Confluence default theme. If your Confluence site has been customised the header may look different, and menu items appear in different locations to the examples given in this guide.

  1. If you got rid of much of the large amount of wasted space between the headings in the 'In this guide' panel, and made the font size a little smaller (as in the tree list on the left), then users wouldn't have to scroll down the page to see all the missing info. This would make this page much more helpful and user friendly. You could also reduce the massive amount of white space between the 'Confluence User's Guide' title and the panels that follow, and do the same for the top of the page.

I don't understand why there is so much white space, you almost have to get a taxi from each heading to the text that follows. I understand the need for white space, but if you reduced it a little, users probably wouldn't have to scroll it at all. Which would be terribly convenient.

    1. Hi Mick,

Thanks for your comments (the taxi reference did make me giggle). I've done a little bit of work recently on these top level pages to improve how they export to PDF and give quicker access to key parts of the guide.

Can I ask - what do you specifically use a page like this one for?  To quickly navigate to a specific part of the guide?  Would love to hear more about how you use these pages so I can make them better for everyone.
