Sharing roadmaps

This page refers to the usage of the improved planning interface in Portfolio for Jira (version 3.0 and later). If you're using a Portfolio for Jira live plan (any version from 2.0 to 2.27), refer to the documentation in this section.

Portfolio for Jira lets you share a read-only version of a roadmap as needed. This helps keep relevant stakeholders updated on the progress of business initiatives across your organization.

Note that the shared roadmap will inherit the filters and settings that have been configured for the roadmap view. This includes the values applied for the hierarchy filters, filter settings, timeframe settings, view settings, and more. Anyone who then has the permission to view your plan can access the roadmap that you're sharing.

Sharing a roadmap

You can consider not displaying any warnings in the shared roadmap. Make sure to do that before generating the read-only link for the roadmap. See Customizing view settings to know how.

  1. Above the timeline section of the plan, click Share. The 'Share roadmap' dialog will be displayed.
  2. To share the roadmap as a read-only link:
    1. Click the Link tab.
    2. Click Copy to copy the link for sharing.
    3. Provide the link to the consumers of your roadmap.
  3. To share and embed the roadmap in an HTML page:
    1. Click the Embed tab.
    2. Click Copy to copy the link for sharing.
    3. Provide the link to the consumers of your roadmap. We recommend using the link in any HTML page that supports URL embedding.
