Configuring the target due date field

Date linking allows you to sync your Jira Due dates with Target due dates in Portfolio, so you don’t have to manually update the date fields in both places. This is plan-specific and turned on by default for new users.

To configure this feature:

1. Go to your plan > click  located next to the plan name > Configure > Commit of changes
2. Under Date linking, select On or Off. 
   
   
   

• If you turn this option on, the Jira Due dates contained in the 'Due date' field will flow through to the Portfolio 'Target due date' field and the other way around when you commit date changes.
• If you choose to turn the feature off, Jira Due dates and Portfolio Target due dates will remain as separate fields, and you will have to manually change the dates in both applications. Once switched off, the ‘Target due dates’ shown in your plan will revert back to the ‘Target due dates’ that were set before the configuration option was switched on.
