ProForma provides the following language support:

Form Language & Validation Messages (tick)

Form questions can be written in any language, as can the responses to any questions. Validation messages are also displayed in the language chosen for the form.

Specifying a language for a form (through Form Settings) will change all of the validation messages to the indicated language. Please note that changing the language setting of a form will not impact forms that have already been added to Jira issues.

Multilingual Forms

Note that you can only set one language setting per form. If you need a multi-lingual form you can:

  • Create multiple versions of your form in each of the target languages.

  • Create a choice question at the top of your form with the target languages. Then create conditional sections which include all of the form questions in each of the language options. Note that you will still need to choose only one language for the error and validation messages.

User Interface & Jira Service Management Portal (tick)

The user interface for working with forms on an issue, or through the Service Management Portal, will either use an individual user's language setting or the language setting set for the system.

Customer & End User Documentation (auto generated) (tick)

We provide multi-lingual tutorials and documentation for the all essential ProForma functions related to working with forms on issues or via the JSM portal.

Also note, that you can select the language for videos and tutorials throughout this documentation by clicking on the Language button in the upper right corner.

Form Builder and other screens (tick)

When creating form templates, the form builder will use an individual user's language setting or the language setting set for the system.
