What are locked custom fields?
When you install a Jira product or plugin, some fields that are needed by that product or plugin are created and locked. These fields appear on the custom fields screen as . For example, an SLA field is created when you install Jira Service Management.
You can't configure a locked custom field. You can only add the locked custom field to a screen and view the field details including applied contexts and associated screens.
To view the custom field contexts and associated screens:
- Select > Issues.
- Under FIELDS, click Custom fields.
- Find the locked custom field and click > View field information. Alternatively, you can click a field's screens or contexts link to view the locked field's details.
