Create backups without downtime

Take backups as often as you need without inconveniencing users and build agents using zero downtime backup, a technique that backs up your Bitbucket instance without requiring it be locked for maintenance.

Bitbucket provides multiple strategies for taking backups, read about them in detail on the page Data recovery and backups, or read all about Bitbucket zero downtime backup.

Review pull requests at the commit level

We added a new diff view for reviewing pull requests with Bitbucket Server 4.8. Now you can break up the scope of large pull requests by reviewing individual commits. Use the Show diff of selector to switch between viewing a single commit, or viewing all the changes within a pull request. Read more about reviewing and discussing pull requests.

Add default reviewers for pull requests

Spend less time figuring out who to add as a pull request reviewer, and ensure the right people are reviewing code changes, by adding default reviewers for pull requests for a repository. Enforce company standards for reviewing code changes by specifying who should review pull requests, and requiring them to approve pull requests before they can be merged. Or, you could add several users as default reviewers and require only one reviewer approve a pull request before it can be merged, so your team gets their changes reviewed by the right people in a timely manner. Read Add default reviewers to pull requests for details about enabling this option for a repository.
