Too many object schemas from Assets
This insights checks whether your total number of object schemas is above the limit. When you exceed the limit, your migration will be blocked by a pre-migration check in Jira Cloud Migration Assistant.
What’s the recommendation?
You need to reduce the number of object schemas to unblock your migration.
Clean up object schemas RECOMMENDATION
If your object schema count in Data Center is above the limit, perform a cleanup:
In Data Center, go to Assets > Object schemas. For each schema, you'll see the number of objects and archived objects, which will give you an idea of how active it is.
Review and delete object schemas to bring the count within the limit:
Go to Settings (next to the schema you want to delete) > Delete.
A confirmation window appears.Select Delete.
Which schemas to remove?
Whether a schema can be removed or is actively used depends on your specific environment and how you're using Assets. However, it's common to create object schemas used for testing or switching to different schemas over time.
When reviewing your schemas, you can see the following statistics:
- Number of objects inside
- Number of archived objects
If the schema is still used, but doesn't contain too many objects, or only contains archived objects, consider migrating them to one of the existing schemas.
