Confluence and SSL

Confluence can be configured to use SSL both as a client (i. e. when communicating with other services) and as a server (i.e. when communicating with a user's web browser or RSS client).

The process of configuring Confluence to serve content over SSL is described on this page: Adding SSL for Secure Logins and Page Security.

The process of configuring Confluence to connect to other services (such as JIRA or LDAP) is described on this page: Connect to LDAP, JIRA or Other Services Via SSL.

Knowledge Base Articles

There are a number of additional knowledgebase articles related to SSL. When reading these, be sure to note whether the issue or fix described relates to Confluence serving content over SSL or retrieving information from other services via SSL.
