FishEye 3.9 release notes
With today's release of FishEye 3.9 we've made some significant performance gains and a range of platform updates.
If you are updating an earlier version of FishEye, please read the FishEye upgrade guide and the End of Support Announcements for Fisheye. The FishEye 3.9 changelog is below.
FishEye performance improvements
In the pursuit of performance gains, we've tweaked the following:
Users Report
The Users report for a repository has been slightly simplified to make it much snappier:
- The lines of code metric is no longer calculated if a branch hasn't been selected.
- The Commit History, Commits and Reviews columns are no longer sortable – the report is now always sorted by user.
Early reports indicate up to a 10x improvement in load time.
Directory tree building performance
The repository directory tree has been optimized to only load the data needed. The new speed has delighted users:
thanks, this is way faster! I would say a speed that can be expected... nothing loads longer than maybe a few seconds). The specific folder now only takes a second...
Small improvements
Oracle 12c is supported
The bundled Oracle JDBC driver is now version 12cR1.
DVCS support
Git 2.5.0 and Mercurial 3.5 are now supported.
Java 7 support is removed
As previously announced, FishEye 3.9 no longer supports Java 7.
Internet Explorer 9 support is removed
As previously announced, FishEye 3.9 no longer supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.
