To import Tempo data into Assets, navigate to the Import section in the object schema configuration. Learn more about importing in Assets.

Here are some use cases when you'd want to import Tempo Accounts into Assets:

  • Importing the Tempo Customers into Objects allow you to use Assets as a single source of truth, so you may use the Customer Object to reference related Contracts (objects), Service Levels (as objects) and so on. Other Customer related objects can reference or be referenced by the same Customer object.
  • Based on the Customer Objects' Attributes, you can set the customer portal to respond dynamically. For example, a customer can only request services they're entitled to, or block services if the Contract with the customer has expired.

Post function

Set a Tempo Account from an Assets Custom Field:
The Assets - Tempo integration allows you to import the Tempo Accounts information into Objects, making the Account details visible. You can customize the object to display any additional information if required.
You can select the Tempo Account Object in an Assets Custom Field, and use this post function to set the Tempo Account custom field with the corresponding Tempo account. This allows you to take advantage of the imported information and extend it. For example, filter Jira issues by any attribute of the account, like, all Issues assigned to a Tempo Account with a specific user as its owner.
