Confluence 8.7 beta release notes
Development releases are not production ready. Development releases are snapshots of the ongoing Confluence development process. While we try to keep these releases stable, they have not undergone the same degree of testing as a full release, and could contain features that are incomplete or may change or be removed before the next full release.
No upgrade path. Because development releases represent work in progress, we cannot provide a supported upgrade path between development releases, or from any development release to a final release. You may not be able to migrate any data you store in a Confluence development release to a future Confluence release.
Atlassian does not provide support for development releases.

Table sorting in the editor
For: END USERS
You can now sort table contents in the editor and preserve your changes when you hit publish. Table header rows are also sticky in the editor so you can navigate long tables with less scrolling.

For: ADMINS
Manage your Space trash more efficiently with more data. We've added two new data fields to the Trash, including who created the content (Created by) and who deleted it (Deleted by). Go to the trash in your space at Space tools > Content tools > Trash to see this data in action. You must have 'Delete' Space admin permission to delete items from the trash.

HashiCorp Vault — shhh, it’s a secret!
For: ADMINS
We're raising the bar again on security, so you have a greater choice of secrets storage options. We’ve added HashiCorp Vault to our existing offerings for securing your database password. Using V2 of the HashiCorp KV Secret Engine, you can choose encryption options for HashiCorp tokens and Kubernetes Service Account Tokens.
