Data Center approved apps
Apps for Data Center are built with highly available, clustered environments in mind. They undergo a testing and validation process managed by Atlassian in conjunction with Marketplace vendors, and they are proven to perform reliably and consistently in large-scale Data Center product environments.
Finding Data Center approved apps
You can check if an app is Data Center approved on its page in the Atlassian Marketplace:
- Go to Atlassian Marketplace.
- Select an app.
- In the drop-down, look for the Data Center option:
Installing and managing Data Center approved apps
The process is the same as for Atlassian Server products. Apps (formerly known as add-ons) and associated data are stored in the shared file system. It means that you can install an add-on on a single node and it will be replicated to all other nodes. If an app requires a license, you can also install it on a single node and it will be replicated across the cluster.
Note: If you're moving to Data Center from a Server product, don't forget to evaluate your apps first.
Data Center approved apps made by Atlassian
There are three Data Center approved apps made by Atlassian:
- Portfolio for Jira
- Team Calendars for Confluence
- Questions for Confluence
Building Data Center approved apps and the approval process
Before an app can be approved for Data Center use, Marketplace vendors are required to build and test if their apps meet the Data Center-specific standard. All test results must be submitted to Atlassian for further review and verification. Only the apps that have met the requirements are listed as Data Center approved in the Atlassian Marketplace.
You can read more about the app approval process and requirements in our developer documentation.
