Crowd 3.6 Upgrade Notes

Crowd 3.6.2

OpenID client application

Note: OpenID client is a testing app used as a starting point to develop OpenID-enabled Java applications. It’s not required for Crowd or OpenID server to work correctly.

The OpenID client application is shipped with standard Crowd distribution and was deployed together with Crowd by default. Starting from Crowd 3.6.2, the application is not deployed by default anymore  although it’s still shipped with Crowd. For security reasons, the OpenID client application shouldn’t be deployed on production environment. However, if you want to reenable this app on your staging environment you can do so by following steps described in this guide.

Crowd 3.6.0
