Confluence 4.2.5 Release Notes

The Atlassian Confluence team is pleased to announce the release of Confluence 4.2.5. This release includes a new option for administrators to send an email message directly from Confluence, inviting new users to the site. We have also fixed some bugs.Don't have Confluence 4.2 yet?

Inviting new users by email
You can now send an email message directly from the Confluence user administration screen, inviting people to join the site. We have also clarified the signup modes as public, private, or disabled.
Release Notices
Upgrading from a previous version of Confluence should be fairly straightforward. Please read the Confluence 4.2.5 Upgrade Notes. We strongly recommend that you back up your confluence.home
directory and database before upgrading.
If your version of Confluence is earlier than 3.5.x, then you should upgrade to Confluence 3.5.x before upgrading to Confluence 4.2.x.
