Crucible 3.8 release notes
Today's release of Crucible 3.8 includes a number of performance improvements, and a wider variety of diff formats are now accepted for pre-commit reviews.
If you are updating an earlier version of Crucible, please read the Crucible upgrade guide and the End of Support Announcements for Crucible. The Crucible 3.8 changelog is below.
Performance improvements
We've continued to make performance improvements in Crucible, so your development team can deliver software even faster. For Crucible 3.8, we've made the following improvements:
- A faster activity stream and quicker changeset log rendering through better memory utilization.
- A faster review dashboard and review search pages, in some cases resulting in a greater than 200 times faster page load time.
- Improved Git indexing time for newly created branches. We observed branch indexing time reduced more than 3 times.
Support for more patch formats
Pre-commit reviews are commonly used by many development teams. We have reviewed the diff formats generated by supported SCMs and improved Crucible's patch parsers to handle a wider variety of them.
Small improvements
Java 7 is deprecated
Crucible 3.8 is the last version to support Java 7, as previously announced.
