Crucible 3.6 release notes
Today we're proud to release Crucible 3.6. With a new way to add just the code that has changed to a review, and a new quick-nav Actions menu, Crucible helps your team perform better code reviews, faster!
If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Crucible, please read the Crucible upgrade guide and the End of Support Announcements for Crucible. The Crucible 3.6 changelog is at the bottom of this page.
Branch reviews
Branch reviews in Crucible provide the team with a quick and easy way to review changes made on a branch, discuss those changes, and make further modifications before the branch is merged to master or your main development branch.
When you're adding content to a review, simply click Choose branches. From here, select the repository, the branch with the changes and the base branch (usually the branch you want to merge into once the review is complete). Crucible shows you a preview of the commits that will be added to your new, effective, review:

Quicker navigation
Now you can perform many review operations (such as Join, Close, and Complete), and navigate to administration tasks, without leaving the keyboard.
Simply type '.' (dot) to see a list common actions. Continue typing to quickly filter the actions available in your current context.
Small improvements
Performance improvements
The diff calculation times for the review and changeset pages have been significantly reduced, and the user listing page has been tuned, so it now loads faster!
SSL cipher suite configuration
Included and excluded cipher suites and protocols are now defined in the config.xml
file, not the jetty-web.xml
file as previously. See Configuring SSL cipher suites for Jetty for details.
Java 7 deprecation
We announce that Crucible will stop supporting Java 7 after April 2015.
Product analytics disclosure
In the spirit of openness, we disclose that, as of version 3.6, Crucible will collect user event data unless disabled by an administrator, as per Atlassian's Privacy Policy. Analytics help us to determine the frequency of feature usage within the product, all towards improving Crucible.
See Collecting analytics in Crucible.
