Bitbucket Data Center and Server 7.19 release notes
14 December 2021
Introducing Bitbucket Data Center 7.19.
Consistent URLs for primary and mirror
To support cloning from various servers for read-only workflows, we are removing the namespace from URLs when a mirror only has one upstream.
https://user@smartmirror/scm/bitbucket/project/repo.git will now be
Existing URLs with the namespace will continue to work and the namespace attribute will be ignored.
Exclude projects from the data pipeline
The data pipeline allows you to export Bitbucket data for analysis in your favorite business intelligence tool.
You can now exclude projects from the export by adding them to an opt-out list. This is useful if you don’t need to report on particular projects, or they contain sensitive content that you’d prefer not to export.
For more information on how to add and remove projects from the opt-out list, see the REST API documentation.
What else is new?
We’ve added support for Git 2.34, which replaces the recursive strategy used by
git merge with a new strategy called
ort. This can offer significant improvements to merge performance, especially for large pull requests.
Updates to supported platforms
Bitbucket 7.19 now includes support for running:
- Git 2.34
As of Bitbucket Data Center 8.0, support will be removed for hosting on Microsoft Windows.
