Visualize Dependencies
You can now easily see which issues in your backlog are dependent on one another in the graphical schedule. Visual highlights show you which items have dependencies and selecting those items will show you those work items that require or are required by the selected item.
Create Dependencies as Issue Links
When creating new issues in JIRA from JIRA Portfolio, you can now create issue links automatically in your new issues. Choose from any of your available JIRA issue links from your project and assign those directly to your new issues.

The Atlassian JIRA Portfolio team announces the release of JIRA Portfolio 1.8. This point release contains several updates and fixes.
Import release versions
JIRA Portfolio now allows you to import your project versions to be used to link to existing or newly created releases in your plan. Linked issue information can then be used for scheduling and synced with your JIRA projects.
Keep versions when importing issues
With JIRA Portfolio you can import your existing JIRA issues directly into your plan with corresponding fix version information from your JIRA project. Import issues directly into your backlog and set release information when importing to save from having to recreate releases in your plan.
Synchronize linked releases and versions
Link multiple existing versions (in separate projects) to your releases in JIRA Portfolio. Versions are linked to your existing plan releases and are categorized in your streams. Issues assigned to releases with version links can then be synchronized with their linked projects.
