Issue

A JIRA issue can be used in different ways depending on how you are using JIRA.

In JIRA Agile, an issue represents a story. Individual tasks within the story are represented as sub-task issues.

Most fields in an issue can be quickly viewed and edited in JIRA Agile. Occasionally you may want to view an issue in JIRA to see a complete list of issue fields.
