Jira Align - Work In Process by Value Stream is missing work items

Problem

Work In Process by Value Stream does not show one or more work items that are expected to show. The items appear in Work in Process by State.

Review detail for missing items. Look to see if the Process Step (Developmental Step) field shows a value.

Value Streams use Process Steps. A work item will not appear on the value stream it is not associated with a Process Step
Creating a Value Stream or changing Process Steps may not automatically set the Process Step on existing work items

Populate Process Step on work items that should be shown in Work In Process by Value Stream.

If the Value Stream Process Steps are mapped to work item state then you may change the state of the work item which will populate the Process Step field with the step corresponding with the work item's state.
