JIRA applications compatibility matrix

The JIRA family of applications are made up of JIRA Core, JIRA Software, and JIRA Service Desk. JIRA Core makes up the platform component of the JIRA family of applications, and is present in all installations. You can add and update JIRA Software or JIRA Service Desk through the License and versions page in your JIRA installation, or by using the installer, which includes JIRA Core.

Each version of JIRA Core, JIRA Software and JIRA Service Desk is compatible with a specific version of the other applications, and this compatibility is listed below:
