We're pleased to announce the release of Team Calendars 5.0. This release brings a much-requested feature to Team Calendars – custom event types.

Custom Event Types

Previously, Team Calendars allowed you to create events and categorize them in a fixed list of event types – Travel, Leave, Birthdays, Events, and three types of JIRA events. You can now create custom event types to capture those events that don't fit into one of the pre-defined types, giving you more control over how you organize your events.

Plan any event with Team Calendars 5!

So go ahead and create new event types for training, email campaigns, conferences, system upgrades, working-from-home, outages, and anything else you can think of; Team Calendars can handle it.

See Custom Event Types for more information.

Frequently asked questions...

If I delete a custom event type, will its events be deleted too? Yes. Deleting a custom event type will delete all events within that event type so, if there are any events within that type that you want to keep, be sure to move them to another event type before deleting.

Can I still hide event types? Absolutely. You can hide any event type, whether it's a standard event type, or one you've created yourself.

If I export a calendar and re-import it, will it retain my custom event types? No. Your events will all be imported, but any events in custom event types will be moved to the 'Events' event type, and custom event types will be deleted.

Confluence Data Center Support

This release is also the first release that will support Confluence Data Center

Confluence 5.2 Required

Upgrading to Team Calendars 5.0

Before completing this update process, we recommend you back up your Confluence database (which includes Team Calendars data).

In Confluence:

  1. Choose  > Add-ons
  2. Choose Update to the right of the Team Calendars entry

If you encounter any problems in the update process, you can downgrade by installing the version of Team Calendars you were running previously (also available from the Marketplace).
