We’ve collected some important notes on upgrading to Bamboo 5.10. For details on all the new features and improvements we’ve introduced in this release, see the Bamboo 5.10 release notes.

Upgrade notes

This release contains changes that break plugin backward compatibility. For more information about how to prevent your plugins from breaking, see the Bamboo developer documentation.

Changes to supported platforms

This release of Bamboo introduces several changes to the minimum required versions of some supported platforms:

  • JDK8 as a minimum runtime and compile requirement
  • Bamboo runs on Tomcat 8
  • Servlet API upgrade (3.0.1)
  • Plugins framework upgrade (4.0.4)
  • SAL upgrade (3.0.2)
  • Soy Renderer upgrade 
  • REST 3.0 upgrade (3.0.2)
