We’re proud to present Bamboo 12.1.

This release brings significant new features, platform upgrades, and important security improvements to help you build, test, and deploy with even greater confidence.

Take some time and read through the release notes to learn what we've prepared for you this time. Swing by our upgrade notes to check for any breaking changes if you plan to upgrade, and don’t forget to check out the full list of resolved issues.

Bamboo 12.1 is a long-term support LTS release

This means we’ll continue to backport critical security and product bug fixes to 12.1 release throughout its standard 2-year support window. In addition, when architecturally possible, we’ll also backport all other security bug fixes.

This allows you to get the maximum value from our continuous product development without strictly following the frequent release cadence.

Long Term Support releases are designed specifically for larger, more complex instances – ones that require significant planning and effort to upgrade. We understand that upgrades for such instances can be few and far between, and so every one of them needs to count. So, if you can manage only one feature release upgrade every year, make sure it is to the latest LTS release.

Check out the Atlassian Data Center Bug Fix Policy and Security Bug Fix policies for more information.

What's new since the last LTS release?

New LTS releases may not introduce exclusive new features, but they still pack a slew of improvements over previous releases. Every LTS release contains all features introduced since the last  one and provides fixes for known issues.

If you’re interested in learning more about a specific type of improvement, you can go to one of the following sections:
