Confluence 6.6 is a Long Term Support release
This means we'll provide bug fix releases until 6.6 reaches end of life, to address critical security, stability, data integrity, and performance issues.
See our bug fix and security bug fix policies for more information.
More European languages
Our grand tour of Europe is coming to an end with the addition of 6 more languages. You can now use Confluence in Czech, Dutch, Hungarian, Polish, Slovak and Swedish, right out of the box.
Deploy Confluence Data Center in Azure
More and more organisations are moving away from maintaining physical servers and embracing private cloud solutions, such as Microsoft Azure, for hosting their business critical applications.
We now provide a reference implementation template to help you deploy Confluence Data Center in Azure. The template can be modified to suit your needs, and you can deploy via the Azure Marketplace or using the CLI, it's up to you.
It's particularly good for trialling Confluence, without the need to provision your own hardware first.
Head to Getting started with Confluence Data Center on Azure to find out how it works.
Restore administrator rights using recovery mode
If you're an administrator and find yourself locked out of Confluence, you can now start Confluence in recovery mode to restore your admin user rights. Previously the only way to do this was by modifying the administrator account in the database.
Recovery mode works by creating a virtual user directory with a temporary admin account. Once logged in, the administrator can create a new account, change the password on the existing account, or resolve the external user directory issue preventing them from logging in.
See Restore passwords to recover admin user rights for more information (this feature was so hot, we also made available in 6.5.1).
Get ready for the Confluence mobile app
A new mobile app for Confluence Server and Data Center is in the works. If you've got an Android or iOS device and want to give it a try, head to Confluence Server mobile app beta to find out what you need to do to join the beta.
