Starting from Jira 10.1, we've moved the communication about Jira Service Management Data Center development releases to the Jira development releases page. With this transition, we aim to provide you with a single source of information about improvements and changes to our products. For archive  development release announcements, check out our changelog.

Jira Service Management release notes provide information on the features and improvements in each release. This page includes release notes for platform releases and feature releases. If you're upgrading from an earlier version of Jira Service Management, you'll find essential information in the upgrade notes associated with the relevant release notes.

Long Term Support releases

A Long Term Support (LTS) release is a feature release that gets backported critical security updates and critical bug fixes during its entire two-year support window. If you can only upgrade once a year, consider upgrading to an LTS release. Explore LTS releases
